L\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne offre, pour le syst\u00e8me\u00a0\u00e9lectrique fran\u00e7ais, un potentiel technique important et\u00a0encore largement sous-exploit\u00e9 (en 2012, moins de 1% du\u00a0potentiel technique fran\u00e7ais estim\u00e9 par l\u2019Agence\u00a0Europ\u00e9enne de l\u2019Environnement \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9). L\u2019objectif de\u00a0production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e9olienne est de 58 TWh en 2020,\u00a0ce qui devrait repr\u00e9senter plus de 10% de la demande\u00a0d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.
